It doesn’t matter if you’re married or single, male or female…We all have them. Some are sexual, some or emotional. The best are both.
And to me, the best stories are both.
My current Work In Progress is title TROUBLE, (it’s a spin off from BOUND ) and it’s all about a woman going after her dreams and fantasies. You can read a sneek peek excerpt of it right HERE. In TROUBLE, Samair gets to work her way through her own personal list of sexual fantasies.
That’s what I enjoy the best about writing. I love to write stories about real people put into real situations that make them work and fight for their dreams and fantasies. I doesn’t matter if that fantasy is to find a hidden treasure, a killer, or a man that can give you multiple orgasms. Or even better…a man that WANTS to give you mulitple orgasms. *grin*
I do sometimes find it a bit of a contradiction that I love to write stories about “real every day characters” yet I seem to have a fascination with fantasies. Some people would say it’s because writing about them is a way to live them vicariously, but I don’t think that’s true because I’ve actually managed to live out most of my fantasies.
I think my top fantasy is a threeseome with two men. I think some images of two men together are hot, but really, I want all the attention on me. Yup, to be the center of attention between two very hot and devoted men.
What is your top fantasy? Have you ever shared it with your Signifigant Other or is it a “secret”? AND, Given a chance to live it out…would you ?

Love the pic! My view is that having fantasies is part of being human, with natural curiosity about sexuality. And why not, in having sexual fantasies in our thoughts, we’re exploring safe sex, after all!
I don’t have a favourite, I just like to explore lots of ideas. Depending on what they are, it only gets complicated if you want to make them real. My man and I met in the goth/fetish scene, so it’s second nature for us to be very open about sexuality and explore fantasies together.
I always say, as long as it’s not dangerous or illegal and everybody is happy, why not? LOL I’m looking forward to TROUBLE, Sasha!

Wow, Sasha, your excerpt burned up my computer screen! (I’ve ordered Bound already and can’t wait to learn–ahem!–how to play Texas Hold’em Poker
!) Your post made me think of Nancy Friday’s “My Secret Garden,” a groundbreaking book that Ms. Friday spent a decade (in the early 1960s) trying to get published. It told the world the truth about a touchy subject: that women have sexual fantasies, just like men. She published the hardcore fantasies of real women. The male-dominated publishing world
refused to acknowledge this for years. What’s really shocking to me is that the psychological establishment also rejected the notion that women have sexual fantasies. No kidding…here’s an excerpt from her book: “As for the behavioral world, the dozens of psychologists and psychiatrists I interviewed informed me that I was on a dead-end street. ‘Only men have sexual fantasies,’ they told me. As late as June 1973, the same month My Secret Garden was published, permissive Cosmopolitan magazine printed a cover story by the eminent and equally permissive Dr. Allan Fromme, stating, ‘Women do not have sexual fantasies…The reason for this is obvious: Women haven’t been brought up to enjoy sex…women are by and large destitute of sexual fantasy.’”
Wouldn’t you just love to send Dr. Fromme BOUND and TROUBLED! We’ve come a long way, babies!
Luv,
Cleo Coyle

I was reading recently that experiments showed women are just as aroused by sexual images as men, (and just as quickly) previously thought to be their domain

I’m blushing just writing this… Favorite fantasy is definitely two men and me - I would LOVE to be the center of all that male flesh. *shiver*

I’d also entertain the notion of two women and a man - hey, a fantasy is just that, right? Something you wonder about…
Oh, and I have a copy of My Secret Garden - good book!

Here’s that article I mentioned, in case anyone wants to check it out.
“Previous research indicated men are more aroused by erotic images than women, so Anokhin and his colleagues expected women to respond with lower levels of brain activity compared to men. ‘But that was not the case,’ Anokhin said. ‘Women have responses as strong as those seen in men.’”

Love the article, Saskia. Thanks.

*Blushing* I’ve always loved the idea of masked men. My favorite is during Carnival in Venice, the costumes and a masked man seduces me, we’re perhaps on a balcony, while everyone is dancing in ballroom. *blushing* I’ve never told that anyone before. *blush*

I like being the meat in the manwich, but having done that already, I guess my next fantasy would be to watch two gorgeous men going at it. That would be amazing

Hot Stuff Saskia! I’ve really lived a boring life.
Most of my fantasies are in my books, but I’m really liking the idea of Ally’s manwich.

Hm… I would have to say that most of my submissive fantasies have come true, thanks to a wonderful Master, and even my threesome fantasies thanks to a spectacular sister submissive. Due to not having the right furniture… I want to be tied down so that I can’t move an inch, and then made to come over and over and over…. to within an inch of sanity. Well, that and tp… tp is a fantasy of mine that’ll stay that way for awhile though. Even dp is harder to coordinate than one would think! LOL, I’m shutting up now! *waves*
Comment by LindseyAnn — September 1, 2006 @ 9:40 pm
LOL, forgot to put that due to not having the right furniture, that fantasy is going to remain one for awhile too. Until then, I squirm away, hehe. Off to take more cold medicine… I hate being sick and having to do math homework. *pouts* College is wonderful in many ways… but homework isn’t one of them.

When you write, you reveal your fantasies. Like, Annette, mine show up in my books. Think for a minute–what a job! Getting paid to write your fantasies.
A friend of mine who recently started reading a lot of my books said, “I can tell you’re a breast woman.”
Right.
I think of myself as writing explicit books. Perhaps more in the “old style.” Or–there’s less focus on the eroticism than in the HEAT books. What’s happening sexually between my characters is always woven into a suspense plot. But I pick situations where they will get to have fun in bed. That’s one thing I like about my werewolves. They are all destined to find their life mate, although they also resist the idea of settling down with one woman. When they meet her, though, the urge to mate with her is so strong that they can hardly think about anything else.
I got a lot more comments on SHADOW OF THE MOON than previous books. It was set at an S&M club in D.C. Some readers were uncomfortable with what went on in the club. (I have a secondary female lead who’s a top in training.) But more people told me how much they liked it. My personal fantasies don’t run toward domination–but I wanted to explore it in my writing.

Lindsey Ann ~ I have a scene like your fantasy in BOUND. Well, it’s similar, but …anyway, yes, the tied down and being …. *sigh* yes
thats a nice fantasy too.
Rebecca ~ See, and now that I know about the setting and such, I’m MORE interested in Shadow of the Moon. LOL

Speaking of Bound, I just finished it…Bravo Sasha!!!It was the first book that I’ve actually finished in months…and I did so under a week! Truly a great read.
Whether its with one man or two or three…I love to fantasize about a man who can take control AND take things REAL slow. Not just go for the gusto, you know? Those man may only exist in romances though LOL…
