When I was in my twenties, I almost always had a roommate, but for the last 8-10 years I’ve lived on my own. Until 2 years ago when I did a favor for a friend.
A friend of mine’s girlfriends was moving, and she needed someone to watch her cat for a couple of weeks until she moved into the new place. I said I’d do it. Mystery was not quite a year old and for the first week and she was so very cute….but she she drove me a little nuts too.
Then I hit the pet store, and found a few toys to amuse her. But the little bugger is smart, and toys only amuse her for a few minutes. Unless I play with them with her. Then she’ll play forever. But she won’t play alone. ![]()
My friend and his girlfriend broke up before she came to get the cat back, and now she’s mine!
She’s still cute, but demanding.
Mystery has super soft fur, and she likes to talk to me. She meows, she hums, and kinds of growls, but she never purrs. As soon as I sit in on the couch, she’s on my lap, and when I’m petting her, I can feel her purrring, but she makes no sound.
She jumps in my lap when I’m writing, and she rubs against my computer sometimes. She’s right next to it at this moment very intersted in my fingers as they type. It can be great fun to make her chase the cursor across the screen at times LOL She actually tries to bite it through the screen. *evil*
Anyway, after living with me for a couple of years, and being my only company while I’m in the writing cave, and becomeing my brainstorming partner, she has now turned into an erotic kitty. Check out her pose for the camera.
Y’know, When I was growing up, We had dogs, and I dearly want a dog, but living in a condo, it’s not gonna happen…and I have to say, Mystery has turned me into a cat person too.
So, I think you can be a cat and dog person…what do you think?
Do you have pets? Did you actually get them yourself, or were they guests who just never left??

We have both dogs and cats, the cat was my daughters, but when she moved to Alberta she was only allowed one cat and because Sassy had been an outside cat she felt the farm was a better for her then the other. That was over 4 years ago, I tell her regular that if I see a mouse she is history. Last fall after 4 years living here she decided to start sleeping on our bed, as long as she stays at my feet I don’t mind. I am not really a cat person, she isn’t allowed in my lap. She was 5 when we got her and this is the longest she has lived anywhere in her life. The dogs are large so they are outside critters, the oldest we aquired at 10 weeks of age, he is now 9. the second belongs to our son, she has been here since she was 7.5 weeks old, some day he will take her. (ya right). the 3rd dog is mine, I have always be fond of border Collies and last spring had a very handsome one come to visit when the 2nd was in heat…I seen him twice, the first time I asked him to leave, but the second time, well there were 12 puppies 9 weeks later. I kept the pick female.

I am definitely a cat person. Dogs are too much work, and too slobbery. But I do have a limit, no more than two cats at one time.

LOL@ Janet. Something about shoes and socks huh?
I think Mystery looks like a very pretty version of Sylvester -from Sylvester and Tweety
I love dogs!!
My cat is good too though. i think about getting a kitten every now and then so she has someone to play with. But I don’t think I can handle it. LOL

Sasha…Mystery is SOOOO CUTE! I am a cat person in a HUGE way. The cat is my totem. I save strays around my NYC neighborhood…they are the most beeyoootiful creatures to me, I think I may be part cat.

Y’know, Cleo, I always thought she was gorgeous, but It’s so nice to know others think so too.
Her personality shines through her eyes, I swear it!

I love cats and dogs, but I am more a cat person. Unfortunately I don’t have one, because the chance is very high that I will develop an allergy and it would break my heart to give my beloved cat away if the allergy would come

Awwwwwwwww she’s grown into quite the beauty and of course you should get her a friend!
I’m totally a cat person. We have three including one that sounds a lot like Mystery–she rarely meows, but she purrs and she scratches like a dog to get in out of the house. Occasionally she even brings me presents

Geez, Amie, why doesn’t it surprise me that YOU think I should get her a freind.

Cat person, though I like dogs. My four gurlz have their own site on my domain and they are the joys of my life…my husband and I are total kitty-geeks.
