Today, I spent a little time catching up on some correspondence (the non electronic kind). So there I was, writing with my cool sparkly pen on Hello Kitty paper, and pondering whether to use my hamster sticky-tape or the gingham one, when it struck me (not for the first time) that I have a serious stationery addiction.
I love browsing the stationery sections in the stores, checking out the pens for just the right nib size and color, playing with the funky new inventions (remember when those refillable pen-erasers came out? Good times!) and generally buying things I probably don’t need but really, really want. I have colored staples, post-its in more colors and shapes than you can imagine and of course, a highly creative selection of pens. Yep, I can always do with more stationery.
Any other stationery addicts out there? Oooh, what awesome stuff do you have???

I’m really picky about pens but I like unusual colors - my favorite type come in purple but i have to special order it.
On the other hand, I love notepads — I have a bunch shaped like different shoes, some with leopard print, some with flowers.
I have paperclips shaped like flowers, like hexagon. I mean, really, why buy ugly black binder clips when you can have chrome? Or lime green!!!

Nalini and Maura, I need to join Stationery Addicts Anonymous too. Just the smell of an office supplies shop gives me a thrill (yes, I’m officially tragic!). Lovely clean notepads. Yum! Finding the perfect pen - I’m almost there except that they’re that liquid ink stuff and they smudge and they don’t last very long, although they write beautifully (FYI - Pentel Liquid Ink with metal tip). And in the last year, I’ve discovered Vistaprint. DO NOT GO THERE! It’s a honey trap! But now I have dinky little address labels with Scottish castles on them and really spooky postcards that look like something out of Wuthering Heights and postcard size magnets with more Scottish castles on them and…
Stop! I’m getting too excited here…
Think I need a cold shower.

I’m a stationary adddict, I love gel pens, the pencils with the stackable pencil tips, and character paper. There’s a place called Morning Glory here in hawaii and they sell the cutest stationary. I had a lot of different note pads, but I’ve got three little stationary takers(my daughters) who love mommys stuff too.I have to share
,but I keep adding whenever I can.

I too love notecards, nice paper, fun pens and the like. Sometimes there is nothing better than sending a personal note. Really, not many people do that anymore, but it means alot and does not take that much either.

Oh I’m such a stationary addict. I actually hoard my stuff
and will refuse to even rip a page off a notepad to use as a grocery list. But Gel pens are my weakness followed by cute paper.
That tape sounds cute, I’ll have to look next time I go to staples here and see if they sell any.

Danette, Susan, Lis, it’s just so much fun isn’t it? The collecting, the hoarding, the using, all of it!

Ohh see I’m not sure I’m what you’d call an addict. Naw I’m a collector
And I collect the stuff authors give out as well. But see I still have stationary from when I was in grade school, it’s got kitties on it. I have tons of stuff, as for pens, well I collect those as well. My favorites are the floater pens. I finally gave the pencils(2 totes full) to my son for school work. Hubby thinks I’m crazy cause I’ll guy all this stuff and put it in totes or display it. Some things never get used. I like the odd stuff best or Disney stuff. I haven’t found a “great” writing pen as yet. But I’m looking. Hubby says you’d think after 300 pens that still have ink I’d have found one I really like.LOL

I AM AN ADDICT!!! I collect, buy and win pens, note pads, journals, pencils, rulers and sticky notes. So many of them are so cute and useful. I love the ‘to do list’ magnetic note pads that I put on the fridge, the filing cabinet and my supply cabinet. I’m in heaven when I win some or buy some. As for pens I like all kinds but prefer the medium tip.

I’ve loved pens, pencils, notepads, etc etc ever since I can remember. When I was a kid, I collected erasers. Only to look at, never to use! They are still in a box in my parent’s garage. It just dawned on me the other day that there must be other people out there like myself who get excited about going to places like Staples, or anywhere else I might find stationery products. A quick google of “stationery addicts” and this page was one of the hits. I’m not sure if it’s good or bad I actually started looking online for similar folks cuz I keep discovering more and more items I wanna get! Does anyone else spend ages wanting to find the perfect notebook and the perfect pen etc?
